For the 3rd year in a row, A Dal is the national Hungarian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. With 30 entries competing again this year, Hungary is organising one of the bigger national finals this year, and I am very thankful to them about this, no matter the quality of the songs.
For this last round, I will once again insist on the fact that according to my appreciation the allocation draw hasn’t really played in favour of the best songs in the country this year. The possible good news being that it thus seems much more like an actual draw was made than a “human” allocation, like it is done in Sweden for the Melodfiestivalen. All this to say that after an amazing second week, the final one leaves us with quite an overall poor musical quality to find in the 10 songs that competed last saturday.
